Kepplegate was bought by Mrs Karen Shaw in August 2000. Starting as a small residential home, Kepplegate has now become a leading presence in social care, promoting the needs and right those who live in and use it's services.

In the late 00's, Karen founded Kepplegate's Domiciliary care, providing support to people in their own homes in the local Over Wyre community. This was followed by a meals on wheels service in 2012.
